Why do I do this?

I love to create. I think most of us do, somewhere deep down; we can all remember the thrill (and frustration) of trying to draw a beautiful picture, or write an exciting story, or write a song. None of these things are easy to do; that's one of the things that makes them worth doing.

I never could draw, and what songs I did write were almost certainly the worst sort of teenage angst-ridden ballads that it's embarrassing even to listen to, let alone admit to having written.

But creating things - applications, designs, websites - with a computer always seemed like second nature. I thrive on the challenge of getting all the little details right, like making sure that a website displays correctly in as many different browsers as possible. I want the sites I build to impress, entertain and inform, and I want to see them fulfil the purpose they were built for. When your blipped website goes live, I'll be at least as excited as you.

As well as this, I have a firm background in marketing, business analysis and software development. This allows me not just to create good looking websites, but to understand and advise on what content and functionality should be included.
