This covers the design of the look and feel of your site, the creation of the HTML (the pages that people actually view in their browsers), the creation of a Cascading Style Sheet (the document that tells the HTML pages what to look like) and writing any code that might be required, in whatever language you like. It may also include basic logo design and writing any copy that you require.
Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)
Although I will do my best to ensure that your initial site gets ranked by the major search engines for terms that you expect your customers to search for, the truth is that SEO is an ongoing and somewhat technical process. It's up to you how you want to do this - either I can keep your site updated or you can hire me on an ad hoc basis when you feel that your site isn't performing as well as you'd like it to (but be aware that SEO works best as an ongoing activity).
