How I work
If you decide to commission me to create a website for your company, I will first agree with you on what sort of content and functionality you require for your site. There's a lot more to a website than what it looks like, and my aim is to ensure that any site I build doesn't just look good but provides you with the functionality that's required to ensure you have a competitive advantage.
I will provide you with a design specification - a document which describes exactly what your site will do and what the objectives of the site are - so that you know exactly what you're getting. It is likely that this document will be revised several times to correct any misconceptions or problems to make sure you're happy with what's going to be provided.
Once the required functionality, objectives and design are agreed, I will create several basic designs with dummy text content, using your own branding. Once this is complete, I will consult with you on which of the designs you feel is most appropriate for your company (and, of course, I will keep you involved throughout the process to ensure I do not deviate from your requirements).
How long it takes to build the actual site will vary with factors such as how complex the requirements are, whether you want me to write the copy and whether you already have branding in the required formats or need me to create it and so on. However, I will give you a fixed quote for the work prior to beginning work on your site.
